The Kakasszék Lakes

Intro

The healing power of the water in the Kakasiék lakes has been known and used by the inhabitants of the area for a long time, which was proved by Antal Genersich, a university professor. Based on this recognition, the one hundred-bed Kakassék Sanatorium was built in 1932. It works as the Rheumatism and Rehabilitation Department of the Erzsébet Hospital of Hódmezővásárhely, and its thermal water, which is recognized by the National Office of the Chief Medical Officer, is also successfully used in the treatment of chronic gynecological inflammations in addition to chronic rheumatic diseases.

The lakes can be used as fishing waters for carp, amur, pike, perch, catfish, crucian carp.

The Kancsal Lake is located on the eastern edge of the Dorozsma-Majsai Homokhát small river in the Danube-Tisza Interstate. The water of the once salted lake was gathered in the recesses of the two at its southern tip: the southwest of the Chancellery, the northeast Lake Kancsal.
