THE CHURCH OF ST. SAVA – MOL

Intro

The church is dedicated to St. Sava, the first archbishop of Serbia. It was built in 1824, when it was consecrated by Protoiereus of Szeged and the parish priest of Mol Vasilije Kovačević. The iconostasis was done by Arsenije Teodorović, with additional work by Nikola Aleksić, and destroyed in the Uprising in 1848. Novak Radonić painted the new ones in 1854. The parish includes the inhabited area of Mol.
