Intro
The first Catholic Church in Bečej was erected in 1763. The present day church was built in its place in 1830, dedicated to the Dormition of the Mother of God. The interior of the church is richly decorated with ornaments in the Baroque style.
The painting "Dormition of the Mother of God" on the altar was painted by the Bečej painter Mor Tan.
