Intro

The Szeged Open-Air Games, which started in 1931 and then re-started in 1959, is now the country's largest, most successful, one of the most characteristic summer music theater festivals in Central Europe. All genres (opera, operetta, musical, dance, classical music concert, prose) are represented on the Dóm Square stage, and performances are viewed by nearly seventy thousand people every season. In addition to the theater function of Open-air Games, it is also the biggest tourist attraction in the city of Szeged.
