On the occasion of the opening of the project "Integrated Development of Natural and Cultural Tourism in the Tisa River Region", an Open conference was held in the Vojvodina Chamber of Commerce, attended by the representatives of the Provincial Secretariat for Economy and Tourism, the Vojvodina Chamber of Commerce, tourist organizations, protected natural assets, as well as representatives of media.

The introductory speech was given by project manager Dejan Mak, followed by the director, Dr Nataša Pavlović, in front of the Tourist Organization of Vojvodina, while vice-president Dr Beata Kovač spoke on cooperation in front of the County of Čongrad.

To the Tourist Organization of Vojvodina, another project (IPA-CBC) with the Republic of Hungary was allocated, in addition to the ViCTour project, which is being implemented in cooperation with the Republic of Croatia, and it affects the improvement of cultural tourism in Srem. As the leading partner in the project Tourism Organization of Vojvodina, together with Csongrad County will promote another area in Vojvodina. It is about Tisa river region and about eleven municipalities that are covered by it.

The IDENTIS project (TISA Region) is a joint initiative of both partners involved in each development segment. The priority is to solve the problems related to the lack of tourist offer. The partners agreed on the potential of the unique tourist offer of this region, which could be of interest both to the local population and to foreign tourists.

The expected main result of the project is to increase the number of visitors to cultural heritage and attractions in the Tisa river region both in Serbia and Hungary, as well as to establish cooperation between tourism organizations, operators, companies and the population of the two neighboring countries.
