Intro
In the nearby of Nagytőke, one of the area's most important cultural historical site can be found, the needle-dam and lock of Bökény with its dike-reeve's house that was built between 1905 and 1907 according to the plans of Szilárd Zielinszky, the professor of Műegyetem (a technical university), and put into operation after the river regulation. This the first Hungarian reinforced concrete water-architectural artifact. (It is not working anymore.)
