Imre Késmárki-Windmill and Miller's Cottage

Intro

Folk, 1854. There were relatively fewer windmills in the border of Martinique, because the milling was done by the nearby Tisza water mills. The 19th century was built to satisfy the needs of the inhabitants of the farmstead. in the middle of the village, 1 km from the village. After the builder, Sándor Kis was the owner, and from 1913 Imre Késmárki was a miller. In 1953, the sail of the windmill was overwhelmed and its operation became impossible. At the end of the 1960s, the mill and the mill house were privately owned and served cultural purposes.  Currently, it is also privately owned and under renovation.
