Saint Demeter's Tower - the oldest building in the town 

The Early Gothic styled Dömötör Tower discovered during the demolishment of Saint Demeter Church - previously situated here - is the oldest monument of the city (13th century). In its gate, the relief of Agnus Dei (12th century) of the Romanesque style former church is exposed. In its interior, there are frescos painted by Vilmos Aba-Novák. Its top level and the helmet are from 1930.
